Saratoga Springs NY (June 28, 2004) -- Another season at the Saratoga Race Course is just around the corner and the starting gate is already up on the new Saratoga Springs Courtyard by Marriott. Located at 11 Excelsior Avenue, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of this classic Victorian city, the seven floor, 146-room hotel opens its doors on July 1st.
 
The $11.5 million hotel, located on the former site of Spa Steel at 11 Excelsior Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY was developed by  Eric King and BBL Construction. 

Surfaced with the traditional brick of the Victorian Saratoga cityscape, the hotel welcomes guests with a large lobby and Courtyard Cafe restaurant and lobby lounge, 3,000 sq. ft. of meeting/function space with street level access and a nicely balanced inventory of 146 guestrooms. suites facing Excelsior Avenue -- two 1-bedroom and one 2-bedroom -- with microwaves, refrigerators and wet bars. Double-doors overlook the landscaped street promenade. In addition, a King-suite punctuates each of the six guestroom floors. 

The hotel was designed with sophisticated racing season guests in mind, as well as Capital District business travelers and families. All guestrooms incorporate two 2-line telephones with dataport, separate CAT-5 high speed Internet access, coffeemaker, sitting area with 27-inch, remote-controlled color television with on-demand movies, iron and ironing board, clock radio, and hair dryer. The hotel also offers guests an indoor pool, Jacuzzi and exercise facilities, business library, 24-hour Market and guest laundry facilities. 

The Saratoga Springs Courtyard by Marriott is located on the north side of Saratoga, half a mile from I-87�s Exit 15, with excellent access to the Saratoga Race Course, The Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga National Historic Park and other area visitor attractions.
