Kimpton Hotels to Standardize on Hotel Information Systems� epitome Enterprise and Property Management System

Lake Forest, CA (June 23, 2004)... Hotel Information Systems (HIS), a division of MAI Systems Corporation (OTCBB: MAIY.OB), announces that it has been selected by Kimpton Hotels to provide its epitome Enterprise and Property Management System to all 39 Kimpton hotels.

The implementation of epitome Enterprise seamlessly integrated with epitome PMS will enhance Kimpton�s operational efficiency and guest loyalty program. epitome Enterprise Solutions will deliver the framework to centrally manage their multi-property enterprise.

The solutions selected by Kimpton include epitome Property and Enterprise Management Tools as well as Business Intelligence software, services and integration for strategic analysis.
