President and C.E.O. of Hospitality Solutions LLC and former President
and C.E.O. of Ramada Hotels, will deliver the keynote address to the Annual
Best Value Inn National Educational Conference & Trade Show for the
second consecutive year. The 2004 event will be held December 5 to 8 at
the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and will correlate events
and trends in the lodging industry overall with the achievements of BVI
as the fastest growing chain in the hotel industry.
Bloss said that as an organization run by the members for the benefit of the members, the brand embraces each other as a family and make decisions as a team. Today, Steve Belmonte is part of that family because he has earned the respect of the entire membership group. �BVI is a membership organization that really controls its own destiny,� Belmonte said. �They are a group of hoteliers in business for themselves, but not by themselves. In simple terms, they are a family--and to me, there is nothing more important. The 2004 BVI keynote address will touch on bringing family values to lodging by putting the needs of guests and employees first, and cultivating a welcoming hospitality environment that mirrors home � from encouraging continuing education of employees to preparing for special guest requests in advance. �I am honored to have been selected to fulfill this role for yet another year, and look forward to cultivating even further the relationships I fostered last year with the dynamic members of this organization,� he said. �They, too, have become my family.� One For All Since leaving Ramada after 11 years as its president, Belmonte launched Hospitality Solutions LLC to provide nationwide service to hotel owners who need assistance in dealing with franchise companies. No matter the size of the operation, Belmonte provides assistance in franchise agreement formulations, termination negotiation assistance, mediation, expert witness and consulting services, asset management, renovations, financing assistance, executive retreats, sales-and-marketing training and special projects/new corporate initiatives. In addition, he has recently partnered with Morris Lasky, president of Lodging Unlimited, a Chicago-based management company and co-founder of The Lodging Conference and The International Hotel Conference, to co-established Belmonte/Lasky Asset Management. �Steve took a personal interest in our brand, and that stood out with our members and also with me,� Bloss said. �Typically when you hire a person of Steve�s caliber to speak at an event, they fly in and out�usually the same day. Steve on the other hand is at the event from start to finish, talking with members after the various sessions and networking with everyone at the trade show. He turned a two-hour presentation into a two-day event. In my book, that is going the extra mile, and that is what makes Steve Belmonte the industry�s finest motivational speaker.� Bloss said that he plans to extend an invitation to Belmonte to join the conference planning committee. In 2003, Belmonte and his wife Dwyonia were responsible for the famed �World Premiere� conference kick-off in which members entered the convention hall as �stars� attending a Hollywood media event.
