Bartech Expands to Full Minibar Product Line;
.
Introduces First Upgradeables and Combination
Automatic Minibar Plus Refrigerator

BWI CORRIDOR, MD (June 21, 2004) Bartech Systems International, the worlds leading provider of automated minibars, today announced that it now offers a full range of flexible minibar solutions.   In addition to a line of fully automatic minibars that provide hotels the ability to significantly reduce operating costs and improve profitability, Bartech also offers manual and semi-automatic systems.

As part of the product line extension, Bartech is introducing an upgradeable option for its manual and semi-automatic minibars as well as a new two-door unit that is a combination automatic minibar with guest refrigerator.  Both new offerings represent first of a kind functionality for the minibar industry.

Upgradeable Option for Manual and Semi-Automatic

With this option, a minibar is pre-wired for easy transition in the future to automatic operations.  A manual or semiautomatic minibar can be converted to a fully automatic system when its internal shelves are swapped out for sensor-equipped shelves and Bartechs server and software are installed. Designed for hotels that want the flexibility to have automatic minibars in the future but do not have the funds available today, the upgradeable option provides a cost effective solution.

New Patent Pending Dual-Door Combo Bar

The new Combo Bar offers one solution for two guest needs -- a combination fully automatic minibar on one side and guest refrigerator on the other side.  This patent-pending design provides added convenience for all guest types and added value for traveling families. Its functionality enables hotels to be more flexible in marketing to business travelers that may add a vacation weekend stay onto a business trip or have their family join them. The guest refrigerator is a necessary amenity for hotels and extended stay properties that market to family or combination business/leisure travelers.

``These new offerings give hotels more freedom and flexibility to serve their guest than ever before, said Mark Holzberg, President of Bartech The Americas. Hotels have told us that they want the control and efficiency of automatic, but some are limited by current budgets.  While we have a range of financing options, the upgradeable solution gives hotels another alternative so they can plan for a move to automatic in a cost effective way. In the case of our new combination automatic minibar and guest refrigerator, our clients asked for a minibar that can serve their full range of guests from business to family travelers.  With the Bartech Combo Bar, guests have added convenience and the hotel has a new differentiating guest amenity, he added.

Bartech automated minibars provide the ability to control and track refreshment revenues and usage.  Charges are posted directly to the property management system (PMS) in real time, making minibar operations efficient and profitable while minimizing guest disputes and lost revenues.  Bartechs automatic minibars enable hotels to reduce their labor costs by seventy-five percent (75%) and dramatically reduce losses from disputes and theft compared to manual honor bars.   Plus, Bartechs software provides the refill and reporting information to speed replenishment, eliminate expired inventory, reduce energy costs and enhance merchandising for popular high-profit products.
