David Oliver, vice president of development for Canada for Carlson Hotels Worldwide added, "The opening of the Park Plaza Toronto Airport in this market, along with the Park Plaza Hotel at the Vancouver Airport, is critical to the planned expansion and success of the brand in key Canadian cities.  This property has proven its ability to meet and exceed guest satisfaction year after year.  We are proud to welcome this beautiful property into the Park Plaza portfolio."

For the event, the Park Plaza Toronto Airport created the theme, 'An Evening in the Park' whereby the invitees were escorted by 'Park Guides' to view the renovated and refurbished guest rooms, suites, meeting space and expanded reception area. The tour was followed by a sample of fine foods prepared by Chef Lawrence in the Algonquin Room decorated with live, natural trees. Those attending the opening were also eligible to win the drawing for the grand prize a trip for two to visit another park for a week the Victoria Park Plaza in London, England.
