Kimpton Hotels Will Provide Complimentary Wi-Fi/Wired
High Speed Internet Access at All Hotels
by the End of 2005

SAN FRANCISCO, April 13, 2004 � Kimpton Hotels connect travelers to the future by offering complimentary Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) or Wired High Speed Internet (HSIA) access at all its hotels.  Guests will be able to check email and access the Internet for free in the public areas, lobbies, guest rooms and some of the adjacent restaurants of Kimpton Hotels.

�We are proud to be able to provide guests with complimentary Wi-Fi and Wired HSIA  service,� said Andrew Furrer, Kimpton�s director of corporate IT.  �Offering Wi-Fi and Wired HSIA demonstrates that Kimpton is committed to integrating the latest technology into its amenities.  Offering these services free of charge demonstrates that Kimpton is taking a forward thinking approach and taking guest service to the next level.�

Wi-Fi access will be available at the Onyx Hotel in Boston when it opens in May 2004 and at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel in New York when it opens in the July of 2004.  Kimpton plans to have complete Wi-Fi environments at all its properties by the end of 2005.

The company has teamed up with Portland-based Eleven Wireless Inc. to deploy Eleven�s Wi-Fi operations software and network services at all Kimpton hotels and restaurants. 

Kimpton is a San Francisco-based company known for its collection of stylish boutique hotels that are coupled with fine chef-driven restaurants. Founded in 1981, the company currently operates 39 hotels and restaurants across the United States and Canada. Kimpton's combination of boutique-style, four-star service and an adjacent destination restaurant has proven a great success. The company recently opened the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, Mass. and the Argonaut Hotel located in the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park at Fisherman's Wharf.  Upcoming openings include: Onyx Hotel in Boston in May of 2004, 70 Park Avenue Hotel in New York City in July of 2004 and the Hotel Solamar in San Diego in April of 2005.
