Dani Stern Appointed General Manager of the
430 room Westin Tabor Center, Denver

.

DENVER - April 9, 2004 - Denver's premier luxury hotel, Westin Tabor Center, announced Mr. Dani Stern has been hired as the downtown hotel's new manager, overseeing a $25 million operation that includes 430 guest rooms and suites and 25,000 square feet of meeting space.

Stern has extensive hotel experience with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and has held various management positions including: director of operations, general manager, and director of food and beverage at hotels in Kansas City; Lexington, Ky.; and Virginia Beach, Va.  He has also held positions at the renowned Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland.

Most recently, Stern served as director of operations at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, where he was responsible for a 729-room convention hotel with 48,000 square feet of meeting space and a 50,000-square-foot exhibit hall.

"Dani is going to be a great asset to the Westin Tabor Center," said Tom Curley, area managing director for Starwood's Southwest Region. "He has worked in this region for four years. He's had an enormous impact on the success of every facility he's ever been involved with and I'm excited about the new energy, leadership and talent Dani brings to our Denver hotel."

Educated both in America and Europe, Stern graduated summa cum laude in hotel, restaurant and institution management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He also received a diploma in hotel and restaurant management and in food and beverage management from the Institute Hotelier Cesar Ritz in Le Bouveret, Switzerland.

Stern replaces John Everett, who was recently named general manager for The Westin Galleria, a Starwood Hotels & Resorts property in Dallas.

As Stern begins his new position, the Westin Tabor Center is nearing completion on Phase II of a three-phase, $8 million renovation project. The hotel's entire inventory of guest rooms and suites, as well as all public corridors, are receiving a complete makeover, inspired by the hotel's new classic and sophisticated look of subtle hues, warm tones and a rich use of textures and natural materials from across Colorado.

The Westin Tabor Center is part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts family.
