Bill Mitchell Appointed General Manager and Amy Burke
as Director of Sales for the St. Christopher Hotel,
New Orleans

New Orleans LA (April 16, 2004) -- Expotel Hospitality, L.L.C., management company for the new St. Christopher Hotel opening here, announces the appointment of Bill Mitchell as General Manager and Amy Burke as Director of Sales for the property.

Mr. Mitchell joins the hotel with more than a decade of experience in the hotel industry, including five years in properties in the city. Most recently, he was General Manager of the 187-room Hampton Inn Downtown (French Quarter) New Orleans and prior to that was Human Resource Manager with Maison Esplanade Corporation, responsible for all HR functions for the company and its two hotels. He moved to New Orleans in 1999 to be GM of the Comfort Inn after 5 years with Memphis-based Flagstone Hotels where he was General Manager/Task Force Manager responsible for supervising the opening of new hotels, orientation and training of staff in acquired hotels and troubleshooting managed hotels in the Dallas region for the national multi-franchisor.  Mr. Mitchell began his lodging career in 1992 at the Sheraton Charleston SC after graduating from Troy University with a degree in business administration.

Ms. Burke brings five years of experience in hotel sales and marketing to the position of Director of Sales for the St. Christopher. She also joins the management team for the new hotel from the Hampton Inn Downtown where she was Tour & Travel Sales Manager. Prior to that she was Director of Sales for the 100-room Hampton Inn Garden District Hotel which she joined after a year at the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau where she was Convention Sales Assistant. While earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg MS, Ms. Burke worked in Guest Services at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in that city.

The St. Christopher is a 108-room boutique hotel being built by Hotel Partners LLC in an 1880 historic repurposed warehouse with authentic architectural detail, one block from the French Quarter of New Orleans.  The hotel is located one block from Canal Street, at the corner of Magazine and Common Streets.
