BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 20, 2004 � Ben Fusco, CHA, has been named
area vice president, Hilton Resorts - Arizona for Hilton Hotels Corporation.
In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the company�s Arizona
Resort properties including The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, The
Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, The Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa as well
as The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. He
reports to Kenneth Smith, senior vice president Central/Mountain Operations
and will be based at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs property.
A 25-year hospitality veteran, Fusco most recently served as area vice president - operations, South Central Region where he oversaw the daily operations for 15 full-service hotels in the Hilton Family of Brands located between North Carolina to New Jersey. From 1990 - 1995, he held the position of general manager at the Doubletree Guest Suites in the Walt Disney World Resort. Between 1984 and 1990 he served in the same capacity at various Doubletree and Embassy Suites Hotels located in the greater Philadelphia area. A native of Western Massachusetts, Fusco�s hospitality career began in culinary arts in the Berkshires of Massachusetts where he served as an apprentice for several award- winning chefs. Subsequently, he worked as a chef in several four star restaurants and proceeded to open and operate his own restaurant at Squaw Mountain Ski Resort in Greenville, Maine. He then held several food and beverage management positions with ITT Sheraton Resorts and Hotels in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Washington, DC and was on the opening management team for the 1,200-room Sheraton New Orleans convention hotel. Throughout his career, Fusco has served on the board of numerous hospitality associations and charity organizations, including the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association as well as the Central Florida Hotel Association. He served as president on the boards of the Greater Valley Forge Hotel Association and of the Disney Village Hotel Association. He currently serves as vice president of the National Children�s Music Project, a non-profit organization that teaches children humanitarian values through the love and appreciation of music.
