Mark Johnson Named VP of Operations for
Woodfield Suites Hotel Chain
.
Milwaukee, Wis.— (March 22, 2003) — The Marcus Corporation announces the appointment of Mark Johnson to vice president of operations.  Woodfield Suites is an all-suites hotel chain and is a subsidiary of The Marcus Corporation.  In his new position, Johnson is responsible for executive oversight of the seven Woodfield Suites.

“Mark has experience in virtually every facet of the hospitality industry,” said Jim Abrahamson, president and chief operating officer of Woodfield Suites.

"He has served as general manager for hotels, four-star and four-diamond resorts, and most recently as regional vice president for a multiunit hotel management company in Wisconsin.  In addition, he served as an instructor teaching a club management course to college students.  Through his experience and leadership, Mark has displayed an ability to achieve and maintain strong operational results for the Woodfield Suites hotels.”

Johnson received a bachelor’s of science degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

There are seven Woodfield Suites locations in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin.  The one- and two-room suites have separate sleeping and living areas complete with refrigerators and microwaves.  With excellent services, meeting rooms and a full array of amenities, such as free wireless high-speed Internet access, complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails, a fitness center and swimming pool, Woodfield Suites offers guests a relaxing, comfortable experience.
