Agreement in Asia Pacific

.

Singapore, January 29, 2004 Continuing its aggressive Asia Pacific expansion InterContinental Hotels Group has secured six management agreements and one Holiday Inn franchise agreement in the past two months. These hotels will add to Holiday Inns rapidly growing distribution in the region, increasing from 79 currently opened hotels to a network of more than 120 hotels beyond 2005. More particularly, new contracts underscore the renowned Holiday Inn brand preference with business and leisure travellers, and, investors who truly understand that appeal to travellers and its longer term impacts on hotel profitability and asset capital value.

Said InterContinental Hotels Groups Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Mr A. Patrick Imbardelli: Our award-winning Holiday Inn brand is again making waves in Asia Pacific. With the signing of these seven new agreements, InterContinental Hotels Group is assured that the Holiday Inn brand will continue to forge ahead in the competitive mid-market segment.  It is already an icon in China.  With this sustained increase in China distribution and in other key countries in the region, we are further strengthening Holiday Inns position as the preferred choice of travellers and investors.
