WASHINGTON � Feb. 20,
2004 � Marriott.com, the web site of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR),
set a record for revenue in 2003 with gross sales of more than $1.4 billion,
a 29 percent increase from 2002, the company said. Online bookings
on Marriott.com continue to grow. So far this year, Marriott�s web
site has already booked a record number of reservations on two separate
days. The latest record took place Tuesday, Feb. 10, when more than
25,000 bookings were made.
This year, additional enhancements to Marriott.com will make it easier to plan and book group events, such as weddings. In addition, Marriott.com will increase the number of global sites tailored to international markets. MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, INC.
