Belmonte Appoints Lee Dushoff To
Hospitality Solutions Team
Hospitality industry veteran brings 20+ years of management expertise to franchise-relationship consulting group

RANDOLPH, N.J. JANUARY 21, 2004 One of the U.S. hotel industry's leading experts on management issues is joining the team at Hospitality Solutions LLC.

Lee Dushoff, a Philadelphia-based consultant and advisor to hoteliers and hotel-company executives for more than 20 years, is joining Steve Belmonte's Hospitality Solutions LLC staff as an associate. Through Hospitality Solutions, Belmonte and his growing team provide franchise agreement formulations and termination negotiation/liquidated damage claim assistance, consulting, mediation, litigation support and expert witness services to the hospitality and service industries.

"Looking at the diversity of projects Lee Dushoff has tackled in his career illustrates the versatility he brings to our team," Belmonte said. "Many of this industry's top executives have found Dushoff's reliability and common-sense approach to management issues to be exactly what was needed to handle a management initiative."

Dushoff has worked in a variety of areas in the hotel industry, including being the owner of the Cherry Hill (N.J.) Hyatt House.

Consultancy growing

Belmonte continues to expand the Hospitality Solutions staff in order to offer a wide range of services to hotel ownership and management teams. Wayne Miller was brought on board last year after having served as Vice President of Administration for Cendant Corp.'s hotel division for more than 10 years.

"We have people with us who are very familiar with all aspects of the hotel industry," Belmonte said. "Hospitality Solution's one-stop shopping offering to the industry means it can turn toward our company to handle numerous concerns and challenges. We have the people in place to deal with current needs and tomorrow's issues today.

"Our business continues to expand and we are dedicated to having the best possible team in place to work with our clients who expect and deserve the very best."

Dushoff said his career has centered on dealing with discreet projects for large companies.

"When executives discover that they cannot get a project done internally, they have been able to turn to me and get it done correctly and completely," Dushoff said. "There are fewer people doing more work in today's world, and every company has situations where they can identify a project that needs to be accomplished, but no time or manpower to get it done. I have been there to offer that service, and now with Hospitality Solutions other services and expertise, we can bring even more to the table."

Dushoff also designs and manages planning sessions on any level of the hotel industry. Whether it is for the highest ranks of the hotel company or for hourly employees who are being trained to perform a function, Dushoff knows how to produce sessions that have been called the best in the industry.

"Whether it is a desk clerk making $8 per hour or an executive who is being paid $200,000 a year, it is fool hardy to put them into their jobs without covering every aspect of the company or property culture in a professionally run training session," Dushoff said. "We can see to it that all employeestop to bottomare productive from the first hour they are on the job."

Dushoffs Dossier

Dushoff was instrumental with Mike Leven, CEO of Atlanta-based US Franchise Systems, in starting the Asian American Hotel Owners Assn. (AAHOA) in 1987, an accomplishment that Dushoff ranks as one of the most important of his career.

"Being there when AAHOA began is particularly satisfying," Dushoff said. "Now being in a position to continue to work all hotel owners, including those who are part of AAHOA, is an excellent transition in my career."

Belmonte said Dushoff's abilities bring a lot to the table for Hospitality Solution's clients, but his planning expertise is also very important for the company he is now joining.

"His experience is the perfect blend for Hospitality Solutions because he has long been a supporter of franchisees and the issues they encounter in relationships with franchisors," Belmonte said. "He knows what it is like on the firing line. He will also be able to help us discover additional ways that we can help hoteliers. Lee's presence allows our company to expand our offering to special projects such as property-level training programs. This is a great advancement for Hospitality Solutions."
