After more than four months of intense reform and renovation work, the Riu Palace Maspalomas Hotel, located next to the dunes of southern Gran Canaria, has reopened completely renewed.  RIU has invested 10 million Euros in the improvement and renovation of this emblematic property inaugurated in 1989, its flagship in the Gran Canaria Island, and much valued by the British incoming market. With this hotel RIU launched a new elegant and prestigious product line: the Palace, magnificent properties located in privileged enclaves.

The improvements were focused in the following areas: Complete guestroom
renovation including furniture change (beds as well) and ceiling fan installation. Construction of an additional meeting room with a 40-people capacity. Restaurant renovation and installation of new kitchen equipment prepared with the most advanced technology. Construction of an additional and larger swimming pool equipped with Jacuzzis and relaxing pressure water jets, as well as additional improvements in the building, terrace-solarium and landscaping, an already outstanding 28,000-square meter subtropical garden.

With reference to the gastronomy, the hotel added to its excellent local and  international specialties a theme restaurant with two different options alternated daily: Brazilian "Rodizio" or grilled meat or fish.

To all this it is necessary to add the excellent quality service, RIU's distinctive signature which in the Palace product line reaches its higher expression.
