UniFocus Watson, R.M. Labor Management
Applications Selected by Park Place Entertainment
-
DALLAS Nov. 21, 2003   UniFocus Watson, R.M. labor management software applications have been selected for deployment by Park Place Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:PPE), one of the worlds leading gaming companies. UniFocus Organizational Improvement consulting services are also being utilized to maximize the benefits of the Watson, R.M. technology.

The UniFocus software and services are intended to help drive financial performance through improved efficiency, management flexibility, and increased guest satisfaction. Park Place operates 29 casino resorts around the world under the Ballys, Caesars, Flamingo, Grand Casinos, Hilton and Paris brands.

With this announcement, UniFocus has become the leading provider of labor management systems in the U.S. casino market.  Its proven approach to such engagements is a flexible and phased program of OI consulting and software implementation. OI consulting is critical in reaching a projects objectives.  The vast majority of labor management software installations that fail to deliver on their key objectives do not have the benefit of OI professional services guiding the many standards that the applications will control.  The UniFocus team of professional consultants comes from various hospitality management backgrounds.  This has been determined to be key in delivering successful results.

Watson, R.M. Labor is a comprehensive suite of software applications developed specifically for the hospitality industry.  In particular, Watson, R.M. technology has proven its results in the highly complex world of casino management by delivering the following benefits:

  • Cost effective scheduling that is driven by customer service standards right number of people at the right time
  • Business volume forecasting
  • Continual evaluation of service delivery processes for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Precision planning, scheduling and result assessment
  • Documented reduction in operating expenses yielding an exponential ROI within months of installation
We are using the Watson, R.M. Labor Management program to more efficiently staff our demand-driven operating departments while providing a higher, more consistent level of service to our valued customers This technology enhances our managers ability to forecast demand and staff accordingly, said Anthony F. Santo, Senior Vice President for Park Places Western and Mid-South Regions.

We appreciate the opportunity to deliver our latest technology to Park Place Entertainment, said UniFocus Watson, R.M. division President, Kenneth Heymann.  We specifically developed our services and technologies to assist world-class organizations such as theirs.  We look forward to our continuing relationship with a growing Caesars Entertainment in the coming years.
