Ramada Franchise Systems Elects Two Ramada Hotel
Owners to Ramada Franchisee Advisory Board

 
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Oct. 30, 2003) Ramada Franchise Systems today announced the election of Anthony Mangano of Syracuse, N.Y., and Kirrit Bhikha of Nashville, Tenn., as an executive committee members of the Ramada Inns National Association, an advisory board of Ramada franchisees. 

Anthony Mangano is vice president of Syramada Hotel Corporation of Syracuse, N.Y., which owns and operates the Ramada Inn in Syracuse.  He also is a member of the RINA Marketing Subcommittee, which provides advice to the Ramada marketing department, and the Ramada Management Association, a group of franchisees and general managers who work together on regional marketing efforts.

�Anthony�s 16 years of hotel experience will prove invaluable to the RINA committee and Ramada brand,� said Paul Hanley, president of Ramada Franchise Systems.  �And because Tony has already served on the RINA board, he is poised to immediately lend his insight and talent.�

Mangano previously served as a member of the RINA executive committee from 1997 to 2001, the RINA Marketing Subcommittee from 1996 to 1997 and the RINA Operations Subcommittee from 1995 to 1996. 

Mangano received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1983 and received the Certified Hotel Administrator designation from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Kirrit Bhikha is vice president of NAKP Partners, which owns and operates five hotels including the Ramada Inn & Suites Airport of Nashville.  He also serves as the president of the Kentucky and Tennessee Ramada Management Association, a group of franchisees and general managers who work together on regional marketing efforts.
In addition, Bhikha is a director of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, chair of its Education committee, vice president and treasurer of the Atrium Hotel Owners Property Board, Nashville, and a member of the Greater Nashville Hotel & Lodging Association, Tennessee Hotel and Lodging Association and the Hindu Cultural Association, Nashville.

Bhikha, who received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Mysore in India, is currently pursuing a master�s degree in business administration at the University of Phoenix in Arizona.  He received the Certified Hotel Operator designation from the Asian American Hotel Owners Association.
