Interfaces with Sales and Catering Systems Further Increases the Value
|DALLAS — Sept. 11, 2003 — Coming on the heals of numerous announcements,
UniFocus’ MEETINGScope™ – a system that provides performance measures on
the most critical aspects of event planning – is becoming the industry
standard for successfully maintaining meeting and convention revenue streams.
Leading hotels and convention destinations are adopting the MEETINGScope
application as their tool for managing the meeting planning relationship
and securing the loyalty of meeting planners. Offered
as a Web-based application, MEETINGScope was designed with the input of
meeting planners in order to provide performance measures on the most critical
aspects of event planning that drive successful outcomes.
The functionality of MEETINGScope is further enhanced through interfaces with Sales and Catering Systems. The recently announced Gaylord Hotels’ system includes an interface with Daylight’s Advanced Sales and Catering™ application. With this new feature, MEETINGScope users continue to enter meeting information as they normally have and meeting details are seamlessly shared by both systems. A similar interface will be completed for Delphi Sales and Catering systems this month. Custom interfaces can be developed for any third-party SCS. This enhancement reduces training time, increases operational efficiency for meeting sales departments and immediately enables the benefits of MEETINGScope.
The industry has long known that gratified meeting planners remain devoted customers and will continue to generate increasing amounts of business. This is key for future growth in the industry, as the magnitude of the meeting revenue source is significant. The American Hotel & Lodging Association Industry Profile reports 25 percent of “typical lodging customers” are attending a conference or group meeting.
