Edward Pinchard Named Director of Sales and Marketing
for the InterContinental The Barclay New York
.
NEW YORK, NY (September 3, 2003) - Edward Pinchard has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental The Barclay New York.  In this position, Pinchard will lead the development and implementation of all sales and marketing programs to drive hotel-level revenue and room night sales at the 686-room hotel in midtown Manhattan.  He will also be responsible for identifying and leveraging all marketing and sales synergies to maximize profits for the hotel.

Pinchard joins the InterContinental from the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai, where was the Director of Marketing for three years.   Prior to that, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for InterContinental Muscat in Oman.  Pinchard began his career in 1995 at the InterContinental London, where he held various positions within leisure, incentive and corporate segments.  He holds an Honors BA in International Hospitality Management from the University of Brighton.  Originally from the United Kingdom, Pinchard is married with two children.
