 The Buccini/Pollin Group Breaks Ground On Two
Adjacent Hotels in Dulles Corridor

Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites Will be Connected, 
Share Executive Management

 
DULLES, Va., September 8, 2003 � Officials of The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG), a leading hotel development and ownership company, today announced that the company has broken ground on the 150-suite Embassy Suites Dulles-North and the 90-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Dulles-North in Northern Virginia.  The hotels, located on adjacent parcels of land at the 45000 block of Waxpool Road, will be managed by PM Hospitality Strategies, an affiliate of The Buccini/Pollin Group.
 �These two hotels will enhance the highly regarded Hilton family of brands in the fast-growing Dulles Corridor area of Northern Virginia,� said Dave Pollin, BPG president.  �The hotels, which will be connected by an internal corridor, will benefit from a shared executive management team, purchasing and marketing synergies and economies of scale.�

The six-story Embassy Suites Dulles-North�s interior has been designed to resemble a high-tech airport club and will contain indoor and outdoor pools, a business center, an upscale restaurant, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, WiFi connectivity and a state-of-the-art fitness center.  Additionally, the hotel will boast five Presidential Suites, a large fountain and indoor trellis. 

The three-story Homewood Suites by Hilton Dulles-North will feature a business center, 1,000 square feet of meeting space, state-of-the-art fitness center and WiFi connectivity. 

PM Hospitality Strategies of Alexandria, Va. manages 12 hotels, including Washington, DC�S grand dame, the recently restored Madison Hotel. 

The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG), with offices in Alexandria, Va., Wilmington, Del., and New York, is a multi-faceted hotel, office, residential, and parking facility developer and owner.  BPG currently has 24 projects completed or under construction, including 10 hotels. Four hotel projects currently are under way:  a complete restoration of the 353-room Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C. (re-opened September, 2003); construction of an Embassy Suites in Dulles, Va.; and two extended-stay Homewood Suites, in Newark, Del. and Dulles, Va.  Founded in 1992, the company has acquired or developed, and currently owns, 2.5 million sq. ft. of office and flex space, three major multi-family projects, and two multi-story parking facilities, in addition to its extensive hotel holdings.
