DALLAS � July 15, 2003  � UniFocus, the hospitality industry�s only integrated provider of guest, meeting planner and employee satisfaction measurements, will be demonstrating its newest release of MEETINGScope� at next week�s International Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus 89th annual convention in Kansas City.   UniFocus was recently selected by the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau to use MEETINGScope as its strategic tool to ensure quality in the delivery of services for events at the Dallas Convention Center.   The DCVB is also encouraging convention center hotels to engage the services of UniFocus to enable a first of its kind �total-market-quality-program.� 

MEETINGScope is a Web-based application that enables real-time meeting planner feedback and benchmarking.  Designed using the input of meeting planners with a customized version specifically for CVBs, the MEETINGScope application collects the planners� evaluation of service and performance experienced beginning at the contract execution and through the planning phase. As opposed to the traditional post-event feedback only model, MEETINGScope uniquely identifies issues so they can be addressed prior to the execution phase to increase the opportunity for successful meeting outcomes. MEETINGScope for CVBs includes four key satisfaction measurement points: 

  • One contract execution survey to obtain feedback on the sales process and set expectations for the planning phase and the event (lost business module also included) 
  • Two pre-event surveys 9-months and 30-days prior so corrective actions can be immediately implemented before harming the final outcome
  • One immediate post-event survey assessment of the final outcome while issues are still top-of-mind
The most innovative feature of MEETINGScope is its ever expanding database and the ability to provide industry benchmarks in a blind aggregation along with detailed preferences of individual meeting planners.  Benchmark categories include:
  • Price segment
  • Brand
  • Geography
  • Meeting type
CVBs can also use MEETINGScope to periodically review the results of all their events and assess outcomes by type of event, particular services/vendors used, as well as other factors.

The ultimate benefit of the industry benchmark intelligence for CVBs is the capability to  improve assessments of competitive positions and direct strategic decisions that increase their market�s appeal.
