Unirez Takes Hotels to Next Level of Seamless Connectivity;
Allows Travel Agents on Amadeus to View Inventory
and Rates Directly from Hotel
-
DALLAS - July 2, 2003 Unirez Hotel Reservations & Productivity Solutions announced today that their automated system, Hotel Factory, now supports Amadeus next-generation seamless technology - Dynamic Access - ensuing that travel agents are viewing the highest degree of accurate information on the market.  This automated system allows hotel to retain control of their inventory and pricing, while staying flexible with
market conditions.

Beginning with Sercotel, a 100 hotel client based in Barcelona, Spain and Amadeus, Unirez hotels now features an indicator assuring Amadeus user-travel agents that the information they are viewing through the Global Distribution Systems will be correct.  Implementing next generation seamless technology is really like giving hotels a quality rating that denotes their hotel has taken the extra step to make sure travel agents have the most up-to-date information about availability, rate and room information, explained President and CEO, Dwight Hendrickson. "Next generation seamless is the next logical step in Unirez's continual commitment to provide the most productive solutions to the hotel industry."

"Since Amadeus launched seamless connectivity between travel agency and hotel CRSs 12 months ago, we have seen a significant shift in travel agent bookings, from the phone to the GDS. We are confident Unirez-represented brands will also benefit from this enhancement, which translates into increased hotel bookings and greater productivity," commented Stephane Durand, Director Amadeus Travel Service Partners.

Using ASP-based programming technology, Unirez allows hoteliers to enter rate and room information in to Hotel Factory and the unique automation programming of the system immediately uploads that information to all major distribution systems including GDS, travel websites such as Orbitz and Travelocity, hotel proprietary websites and voice call centers.  The system also offers extensive channel management capabilities allowing the hotel to manage each channel individually.

Processing their first transaction from a plumbing warehouse in 1999, today Unirez is debt-free, has seen a three-year annual revenue growth in excess of 100 percent per year, and strong profitability. Maintaining 17 offices, including 14 international offices representing clients in thirty countries, Unirez manages reservations and productivity solutions for more than 3,500 hotels representing more than 500,000 rooms worldwide.  Although there is no absolute source available, Unirez is widely recognized as the second largest provider of reservations service in the world.
