Celebrated Chef Robert Gadsby Partners with Omni
Los Angeles Hotel to Open Noé Restaurant
-
Los Angeles, July, 2003 -  Critically acclaimed chef Robert Gadsbys new restaurant, Noé, opens on Monday, July 14, at Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza.  The summer opening adds new dimension to the downtown fine dining scene providing both the patrons of the Omni Hotel and Los Angeles destination diners with an exciting new fine dining option.  Located on the third level of the Omni Hotel, Noé is an elegant and intimate 70-seat room with a sensational patio shared with California Plaza.

Featuring progressive American cuisine, Noé will continue to explore Gadsbys life-long passion with multi-dimensional cooking that stimulates both the palate and the eye.  Having studied with master chefs in Italy, France, Japan, Singapore and Thailand as well as at the West Minister Culinary Academy in London, Gadsbys craft is grounded in incorporating the highest quality ingredients into delicious, textural cuisine that is both satisfying and sophisticated.  In Los Angeles, he has impressed critics and diners alike with his signature cuisine at Xiomara, the Olive, Luna Park and finally at the eponymous Gadsbys in
Noé Appetizer
1995.  With his second restaurant, Noé, Gadsby has found a true home in downtown at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.

A first-time restaurant design by production designer Curtis Schnell, known for his work on Crossing Jordan and Wonder Years, Noé is warmly welcoming with hues of cobalt blue and tan.  Schnell has chosen a metal-flaked ceiling with art deco light fixtures and a terracotta stained cement floor to frame the dining room.  There are many eye-catching fixtures set around the room, including sensational copies of Gustave Klimt paintings, Japanese coats of arms and a back wall rendering of the Noé logo backlit in cobalt blue.  From the crisp white linens and Schott Zwiesel stemware on the tables to the beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the California Plaza, Noé has been designed to leave lasting impressions.

We believe that Robert Gadsby and Noé are the perfect complement to both our hotel and the October opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, said Jim Snow, area managing director of the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.  This is a very exciting time in downtown Los Angeles and we are thrilled to contribute to the building momentum with a world-class restaurant like Noé.

Gadsby, chef and partner at Noé, is back in downtown Los Angeles for the first time since he worked under award-winning Chef Thomas Keller.  Says Gadsby, My co-venture with Omni Los Angeles Hotel is a tremendous opportunity.  The Omni brand stands for excellence and I am thrilled to enter into a partnership that promotes quality, integrity and distinction in service.

Noé is located on the 3rd floor of the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza at 251 South Olive Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.  The restaurant is open for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:00 pm until 12:00am, and on Sunday from 5:00 to 10:00 PM.  All major credit cards are accepted.  Reservations are strongly recommended; call 213-356-4100.  Valet parking is available for $4.00 at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.
