Rockville, MD (USA) � July 22, 2003 - Starting
last fall, the exclusive and private Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL began
the process of searching for solutions to modernize its PMS and Club systems
which were acquired by the Club in the early 1990s. The club was
looking for a system that would provide significant gains in performance,
features and reliability over the existing systems.
To replace these systems, ORC Management created an RFP (Request for
Proposal) that focused on a number of areas. Of particular concern
were the areas of Membership and of Vacation Rentals as these are not common
features to most front-office systems. The RFP was sent to approximately
20 vendors. According to Micah Friedman, Executive Director of Information
Technology for the Ocean Reef Club, �there were five responses to the RFP
that really appealed to us � and we did demonstrations for the top three
systems. Visual One Systems was chosen as our Vendor after a long and careful
process. Their software, personnel, attitude and references all were excellent
and we are very excited to be affiliated with them.�
The installation will include Property Management, Club Management and
Condominium Accounting, for the hotel, marina and vacation rentals.
Ocean Reef Club will also be installing Visual One Systems Spa and Golf
Course management applications. Because all of the applications were
developed by V1 programmers and use the same programming language and database
engine (MS-SQL), the Club will benefit from the seamless integration features
that Visual One provides.
