BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - July 28, 2003 -- Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) has announced that its Family of Hotels reported all-time record-breaking gross online reservations and revenue from online bookings on its brand websites in June 2003. These history-making figures for the company and its major brand websites included more than 450,000 online reservations(a), which represented more than 15,000 daily online reservations on average during June. These brand website reservations led to online revenue of more than $109,000,000.

Significantly, 10.4 percent of total reservations from all booking channels came directly through the Hilton Family brand sites. This represents the first month the company exceeded 10 percent online contribution through its own websites.

"For the month of June, 13.1% of total net reservations came from all online sources. With nearly 80% of all those online reservations coming directly through our own brand websites, it's clear that our distribution strategy is working," said Tom Keltner, president - brand performance and franchise development group for Hilton Hotels Corporation.

The company attributes the significant number of online bookings to its integrated strategy related to electronic and online distribution representing the following sites: www.hilton.com, www.conradhotels.com, www.doubletree.com, www.embassysuites.com, www.hampton-inn.com, www.hiltongardeninn.com, and www.homewoodsuites.com. The benefits of booking online reservations via the Hilton Family websites include: access to special rates for the Hilton Family of Hotels on its own brand sites; reservations on the brand sites with no booking fees; earning of Points & Miles(R) and special recognition for HHonors members(b); and premium hotel choices to meet every travel need.

"Our loyal guests realize now more than ever that there's no reason to book reservations for the Hilton Family of Hotels anywhere else besides our brand websites, contributing to our best monthly online numbers ever. Throughout the coming months, we will be working diligently to ensure that all guests realize there's no reason to book anywhere else," continued Keltner. "Additionally, increased consumer awareness of the seven brand websites within the Family of Hotels has resulted in more cross-brand bookings, which produces incremental business for our brands, higher market share for our hotels and increased revenue for our owners."

(a) The 450,000 figure also includes online bookings for Hilton International hotels at www.hilton.com.

(b) Available when consumers book through designated Hilton channels.
