Kessler Collection Names Jeff Carcara Corporate Director
of Food and Beverage and Jason Tyson General Manager
of the Red Horse Inn

Orlando, FL - (July 22, 2003) � Jeff Carcara has been named corporate director of food and beverage for The Kessler Collection based in Orlando, Florida.  

In his position, Carcara is responsible for the overall operation of the company�s food and beverage outlets, which include the 95 Cordova and Cobalt Lounge located in the four-diamond, Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine; The Boheme and Bösendorfer Lounge located in the four-diamond Westin Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando; The Plantation Room located in the four-diamond Celebration Hotel in Celebration; the Starlight Grille, Oscar�s Lounge and Scene I pool lounge located in the Sheraton Studio City Hotel in Orlando and the Jester�s Café located in the Doubletree Castle in Orlando.

Carcara has over 14 years of experience in food and beverage restaurant operations.  Most recently, he spent eight years with Houston�s Restaurants where he served as the general manager of Houston�s in Ft. Lauderdale and Winter Park and service manager of Houston�s in Atlanta.  He also spent three years with Darden Restaurants as training manager at Bahama Breeze Restaurant in Orlando.  Carcara began his career in food and beverage at Bennigan�s Restaurant and Tavern in Orlando as service manager.

Carcara graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor�s of Science Degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration on Food and Beverage Management.

Also Jason Tyson has been named general manager of the 159-room, Western Hip, Red Horse Inn located at the doorsteps of Universal Orlando on International Drive.   

Prior to joining the Red Horse Inn, Tyson was front office manager of the  AAA four-diamond rated, Westin Grand Bohemian Hotel � a sister property located in downtown Orlando.   He was also the front office manager of The Westin Palo Alto and the director of VIP operations for the four-diamond Hotel Monaco, a Kimpton Group hotel located in San Francisco.  In addition, Tyson served as general manager and district manager for the South Florida Hospitality group where he was involved in the opening of the Hampton Inn in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach and was the assistant general manager of AmeriSuites in Tampa and Jacksonville.

Tyson graduated from Northwood University with an associate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

The Red Horse Inn is the seventh hotel to become apart of The Kessler Collection.  The current collection includes the Doubletree Castle Hotel in Orlando; the Celebration Hotel in Celebration; the four-diamond Westin Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando; the four-diamond Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, and the Hampton Inn Savannah North, Port Wentworth, GA.  Coming soon: Kehoe House, Savannah- slated to re-open September 2003, Mansion on Forsyth Park, Savannah �slated to open January 2005 and the Kessler Canyon Ranch � slated to open in 2005.
