Ed Carey Named Director of Sales and Marketing,
Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort

August 28, 2003 - Vice President and General Manager of Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort, James R. Allmand, III, announced that Ed Carey has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the resort. The announcement follows a national search to fill the position. 
 
Carey has more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry as a sales and marketing executive, and most recently held the position of Club Manager & Director of Sales & Marketing for the Grande Oaks Golf Club, one of the exclusive private Golf Country Clubs owned by the same parent company Boca Resorts Inc. (RST). 

Mr. Carey will oversee all sales and marketing aspects of the 388-room resort, developing and administering

yearly marketing plans, and directing internal and external human resources to achieve sales and revenue goals.

Carey has an impressive sales and marketing background in hospitality from several fine properties, including: the El San Juan Hotel and Casino, as well as the El Conquistador Resort and Country Club. Through-out his career Carey has been recognized for optimizing sales and marketing efforts that out perform in competitive markets.

Carey received an undergraduate degree from the Ithaca College in New York and is a member of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International, Society of Incentive Travel and Executives and Meeting Planners International.
