CLEVELAND, Aug. 26, 2003 - Boykin Lodging Company
(NYSE: BOY), a hotel real estate investment trust (REIT), today announced
that it has acquired the Radisson Suite Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida,
for $27.25 million.
The Company funded the purchase through borrowings under the Company's credit facility. The Company has engaged Boykin Management Company to manage the resort. Boykin Lodging Company is a real estate investment trust that focuses on the ownership of full-service, upscale commercial and resort hotels. The Company currently owns 29 hotels containing a total of 8,430 rooms located in 18 states, and operating under such internationally known brands as Doubletree, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson, Embassy Suites, and Courtyard by Marriott among others.
