Fairfield, CT, May 8, 2003 � Connecticut-based Optimum Hotel Brokerage
has been elected to membership in Hotel Brokers International, as the association�s
newest broker member. Joseph McCann, Optimum�s principal and president,
was inducted into the international organization of hotel brokerage specialists
during their annual membership meeting held in Las Vegas. Optimum
Hotel Brokerage is currently the only active HBI member broker in the Northeast
United States.
Hotel Brokers International is the largest and oldest hospitality real estate organization, with a rich heritage of experience and expertise in hotel real estate valuation, transactions and other essential services. Comprised of some 75 hotel real estate broker specialists, HBI provides the hospitality industry with the most powerful hotel real estate marketing force, creating greater visibility through a unified and inclusive advertising and marketing approach. Joe McCann is a twenty-five year hotel industry veteran who has held senior management positions for Hilton and Marriott at their premier properties throughout the US. His firm specializes in hotel asset sales, finance, and development. His most recent transactions include the sale of the 153-unit Best Western Albany Airport Inn in Albany, New York, 108-unit Comfort Inn & Suites development at Bradley International Airport, a 60-unit independent full service hotel in New York, and a 34-unit boutique hotel in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Mr. McCann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from the Penn State University and a Master of Hospitality Management degree from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has been a contributing editor for hotel industry trade magazines and an adjunct professor and lecturer for major university hotel management programs. |
