   Five Tokyu Hotels in Japan Allign with
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts

(Singapore) --- Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has sealed a strategic alliance with the Tokyu Hotels that will see the incorporation of five leading hotels in Japan to its network of fine properties in the Asia Pacific Rim. The hotels are the Cerulean Towers Tokyu, Capitol Tokyu Hotel, Nagoya Tokyu Hotel, Kyoto Tokyu Hotel and Osaka Tokyu Hotel. The properties enjoy prime locations within Japan�s major cities and are popular with local and overseas visitors. The alliance took effect on June 16, 2003.

On the significance of the alliance, Mr Ichigo Umehara, President of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts said, �The alliance will strengthen Pan Pacific�s presence in Japan and benefit our business and leisure customers - many of who are repeat guests - as they now have an expanded choice of premium hotels at which to stay. �At the same time, by being part of an established global network like Pan Pacific, the five Tokyu hotels can tap into a significantly wider customer base which will help to enhance their image as international hotels as well as increase overall business.

�We are also looking to integrate their already high standards of service with Pan Pacific�s brand promise of personalised care and service excellence to differentiate them from other leading hotels in Japan.�

On the alliance, Mr Hiroji Takemura, Managing Director of Tokyu Hotel Chain said, �Tokyu Hotels has an established relationship with Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts that goes back a long time. About the Hotels

Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel
Located in the bustling and fashionable district of Shibuya, amidst some of the best department store and boutique shopping. It is also close to many commercial and office buildings, and minutes away from Japan Railway�s Shibuya Station. The hotel is also accessible using the subway�s Ginza and Hanzomon lines. It is a 30-minutes from Haneda Airport to the hotel. Guests enjoy the most magnificent view of Tokyo as rooms are located between the 19th and 37th Floor. 

CapitolTokyu Hotel
Located in the centre of Tokyo�s business district, it is next to one of Tokyo�s most popular shrines, the historic Sanna Hie Shrine, and within walking distance of the Imperial Palace and the Diet building. Narita International Airport is 105 minutes by car, while Haneda Airport is only 30 minutes away. Guests can also take a short 10-minute walk to the Ginza shopping area and Marunouchi commercial district by subway or taxi.

Nagoya Tokyu Hotel
Located in the centre of Nagoya City in the heart of Sakae�s lively nightlife and eating area. Considered one of the best hotels in Nagoya, the hotel embodies the traditional ryokan hospitality with a modern international style of service and has convenient access to the many huge shopping centres in Sakae, around the Nagoya
Station. Like many Japanese cities, there is a huge labyrinth of smaller shops and boutiques beneath the streets of Nagoya.

Kyoto Tokyu Hotel
Located in the centre of Kyoto, the hotel is close to the Nishi-Honganji Shrine and within picturesque surroundings. The hotel itself has an inner garden from which guests can look into from the large windowpanes in the lobby. It is here that many of the hotel�s guests seek peace and tranquillity simply by soaking in the beauty of the waterfall and garden grounds.

Osaka Tokyu Hotels
Located in Umeda in the Kita ward, the hotel sits in the middle of Osaka�s business district. It is 25 minutes by car from the Osaka International Airport. Guests will find Osaka a great place to visit as the streets are teeming with hundreds of restaurants, bars and shops with a wide range of products and services. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Umeda Chika Centre underground shopping arcade, which is considered a shopping paradise by many.
