AH&LA Educational Institute DICKINSON, NORTH DAKOTA (June 12, 2003) - REMco Software, Inc. today announced they will provide an unlimited number of licenses of the NiteVision Property Management System to the American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Institute for use in schools across the United States. Currently 350 schools are scheduled to participate in the program nationally. As one of the largest retail employers, the hospitality industry demands thousands of new employees each year. The alliance between REMco Software and the American Hotel & Lodging Association provides hands-on training with state-of-the-art technology to give students an edge when pursuing careers in the hospitality industry. The REMco Educational Alliance Program (REAP) provides the NiteVision software, Video Training system, and all documentation and optional modules on CD at no cost to participating AH&LA members. "We selected NiteVision primarily because of its ease of use," said Jeff Gerber, Director of Workforce Development, AH&LA. "Students can quickly become proficient in the use of the software". "We were thrilled to receive this generous gift," added Faye T. Gayes, Director of Secondary Educational Programs for the AH&LA. "The state coordinators and teachers involved in the Lodging Management Program (LMP) are eager to get started." "It is incumbent upon the leaders in our industry to provide tools and education for the next generation of hoteliers," said John Darby President REMco Software, speaking at a National meeting for AH&LA State Lodging Management Program Directors in Chicago.
