   Hyatt International Appoints Four General Managers
.
Chicago, IL, June 24, 2003 � Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, is pleased to announce the following executive appointments:  

Garry Friend has been appointed general manager of Grand Hyatt Cairo.  A graduate of the College of Hospitality in Brisbane, Friend joined Hyatt International in January 1991 as director of catering for Hyatt Regency Coolum.  Following further assignments in Food and Beverage Management in Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide, he was became executive assistant manager - Food and Beverage for Hyatt Regency Guatemala in August 1997.  After completing pre-opening support assignments in Thessaloniki and Amman, in September 1999 he joined the team of the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh as executive assistant manager - Food and Beverage.  In November 2000, he was named that hotel�s general manager.

Andreas Nauheimer has been appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Mumbai.  Nauheimer joined Hyatt Regency Cancun as assistant outlet manager, and subsequently held food and beverage management positions in Cologne, Cancun, Queensland and Melbourne.  In July 1994, he left the company for appointments with Shanrgi-La in Bangkok and Sheraton in Heliopolis, Greece as executive assistant manager � Food and Beverage.  Nauheimer rejoined Hyatt International in October 1997 as executive assistant manager � Food and Beverage for Grand Hyatt Seoul. In January 2000, he was named general manager of Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and was appointed to his most recent position of manager of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in January 2002.

Fergus Stewart has been named general manager of Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh.  Stewart, a hotel and catering graduate of the Thomas Danby College in Leeds, consolidated his studies with food and beverage and rooms management assignments in London, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei, before being appointed hotel manager of the Landmark Hotel in London in February 1999.  He was appointed to his present position of manager of Hyatt Regency La Manga in August 2001.

Roger Wright has been appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Cheju.  Wright, a graduate of Canterbury University, held numerous management positions in New Zealand, Western Samoa and Fiji, before joining Hyatt International in October 1979 as opening director of rooms for Hyatt Regency Fiji.  In December 1981 he was named assistant director of food and beverage for Hyatt Regency Monterey.  Following an assignment as executive assistant manager for Hyatt Regency Fiji, he was promoted to opening general manager of Hyatt Kingsgate Rotorua in February 1983.  After General Manager assignments with Sheraton in Australia, Taiwan and China, Wright was named general manager of the Oriental Plaza Hotel in Beijing, which was later renamed Grand Hyatt Beijing in August, 2001.  He was appointed to his present position of general manager of Hyatt Regency Mumbai in September 2001.
