Kudos to Us

The Boutique Search Firm was thrilled to read the April 2003 issue of Angeleno Magazine.  Indeed the magazine's "Restaurant of the Year" is Bastide, where the Boutique Search Firm placed General Manager Donato Poto and Head Sommelier Christophe Rolland. About Poto, the magazine gushes: "General Manager Donato Poto possesses more charisma and movie-star charm than his three closest competitors combined. Better service in Los Angeles simply does not exist. In fact Bastide's service could become a benchmark for restaurants all over the world." Of Christophe Rolland's wine list: "A finer, deeper French wine list exists only at restaurants where sommeliers have been collecting bottles for decades."

The Boutique Search Firm also placed Christophe Emé, Executive Chef at L'Orangerie, whom Angeleno anoints Chef of the Year. "In 25 years, only five chefs commanded the kitchen at this opulent shrine to French cuisine. There isn't another restaurant in Southern California with a higher bar of entry for incoming chefs than this one. Christophe Emé,  late of the legendary Taillevent in Paris, not only did he meet the bar his first few weeks on the job, he has since raised it even higher, possibly the highest it has ever been."

Finding the best candidates, and living to read about them, is what we do. Simply.
