Thayer Interactive Group Taps Industry Veteran
To Head Sales And Marketing Efforts

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 12, 2003—Thayer Interactive Group (TIG), a unique, full-service online hospitality marketing firm, announced today that it has selected Lyn Locke to lead its sales and marketing team as vice president.  In this position, Locke will oversee TIG’s global sales and marketing efforts and direct its expansion into new markets.

Locke is a 20-year veteran of the travel industry who has held senior positions in sales and marketing with Choice Hotels International; the American Automobile Association; and RADIUS, the global travel company.  He also has managed two Internet marketing and technology companies as chief executive officer.

During his career, Locke has produced more than $10 billion in direct sales growth and has built successful sales and marketing programs for worldwide markets.  For his outstanding achievements as AAA marketing director, the New York American Marketing Association awarded Locke and the advertising agency the advertising industry’s highest honor, the Grand EFFIE Award.  Locke also has served on several industry boards and was a founding member of the Global Leadership Program through the Wharton School of Business.
