 John Q. Hammons to Develop $35-million Embassy Suites
Hotel and Convention Center in Loveland, Colorado
New Development is Adjacent to the Larimer County Fairgrounds
and 40 Minutes From Denver International Airport 

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., and LOVELAND, Colo. � March 4, 2003 � Mr. John Q. Hammons today announced he will be developing a new $35-million, 250-suite Embassy Suites Hotel and adjoining 80,000-square-foot convention center in Loveland, Colo.  Surrounded by the picturesque Rocky Mountains, the development will be located across from the new Larimer County Fairgrounds at the northwest quadrant of U.S. 34 and Interstate 25, just 40 minutes from Denver International Airport via E-470.  The Embassy Suites Hotel � Loveland and the convention center will be owned by Mr. John Q. Hammons and will be managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. (AMEX: JQH). 

Construction of the hotel and convention center is slated to begin in 2005, followed by the grand opening in 2006.  The new development marks the fourth full-service hotel Mr. Hammons has built along the Colorado front range and complements the company�s portfolio of almost 60 hotels.

To be built with the signature atrium style of John Q. Hammons Hotels, the Embassy Suites Hotel � Loveland will boast an architectural style that complements the design of the convention center.  The hotel�s décor will emit a contemporary flair that invites guests to enjoy the exceptional appointments and outstanding customer service that defines the John Q. Convenient access to the adjoining 80,000-square-foot convention center and the more than 8,000 square feet of functional hotel meeting space, including generously sized board rooms, make the Embassy Suites Hotel � Loveland ideal for a variety of events from lavish weddings and celebrations to corporate meetings and conferences.  The hotel�s staff will be able to respond to a group�s specialized needs and provide a full-range of event planning assistance and catering. 

The Embassy Suites Hotel � Loveland will feature a variety of amenities for both business and leisure travelers.  The property will have a private bedroom in every suite, a living room with a sofa sleeper, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker.  In addition, each of the hotel�s 250 suites will be equipped with two color televisions, Internet data port and customizable voicemail, Nintendo 64 and WebTV.  Travelers also will be able to enjoy the restaurant and lounge, as well as full cooked-to-order breakfast during their stay.  Guests will be treated to a complimentary USA Today every weekday morning, laundry/valet service, sundeck, cardio fitness center, 24-hour gift shop, complimentary business center and an oversized indoor pool and whirlpool.
