As in recent years, the biggest draws at the box
office were also the biggest draws in the hotel room. �Virtually all top
performing movies play in our hotel rooms,� said Tad Walden, vice president
of marketing for On Command. �It�s been an exceptional year for Hollywood
blockbusters.�
Rounding out the top twenty titles were �Unfaithful,�
�Behind Enemy Lines,� �Minority Report,� �Panic Room,� �American Pie 2,�
�Spy Game,� �A Beautiful Mind,� �Austin Powers in Goldmember,� �Insomnia,�
and �Ice Age.�

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 8, 2003 - LodgeNet Entertainment
Corporation today released its list of Top 10 movies for 2002 while recapping
a banner year in sales and studio relationships.
1) "Shallow Hal"
2) "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"
3) "Ocean�s Eleven"
4) "Spider-Man"
5) "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer�s Stone"
6) "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of
the Ring"
7) "The Sum of All Fears"
8) "Training Day"
9) "We Were Soldiers"
10) "Ice Age"
LodgeNet reports its most popular theatrical movie
for 2002 was Shallow Hal,
a comedy about a man whose dating standards change
dramatically after a motivational speaker causes him to see women in a
new light. Second on the company�s list was the runaway sleeper My Big
Fat Greek Wedding.
Completing the Top 10 list, in order, were: Ocean�s
Eleven; Spider-Man;
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer�s Stone; The Lord
of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring; The Sum of All Fears; Training
Day; We Were Soldiers; and, Ice Age. Two of those titles�Ocean�s
Eleven, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer�s Stone�grossed $1 million in
a single month (March). For the year, a company record 27 movies grossed
more than $1 million on LodgeNet systems, with six titles topping $2 million.
�Our Top 10 list reflects the broad variety of
quality entertainment we offered guests through our interactive TV systems

& Film Licensing Worldwide for LodgeNet. �Romantic comedies and action
thrillers, fantasy fiction and gritty dramas were all well represented
among the more than 110 new titles we brought hotels during 2002.�

with LodgeNet so many travelers enjoyed Shallow Hal, Ice Age, and other
releases from our studio over the past 12 months,� said Dave Smith, Vice
President Pay TV Sales & Channel Operations for 20th Century Fox. �We
look forward to premiering new titles on LodgeNet systems that will enjoy
similar success in the upcoming year.�
The year also saw LodgeNet significantly enhance
its delivery capabilities by finalizing digital distribution agreements
with all the major studios. LodgeNet now uplinks hotel-specific movie
and other digital programming lineups to its specialized point-to-multipoint
satellite distribution network, then downloads them to properties with
the company�s digital interactive TV systems. Movies are stored on
a digital server, offering guests on-demand availability without the title
limitations of tape-based systems, plus DVD/CD- like functionality with
skip, pause and save features on selected titles.
