of Hospitality Consultant's Pioneer Award |
WASHINGTON, D.C. JANUARY 2003 The International Society of Hospitality Consultants, a professional society of leading hospitality consultants, will honor Steve Wynn, president and CEO of Wynn Resorts, Ltd., with the 2003 ISHC Pioneer Award, acknowledging his contributions, achievements and improvements to the hospitality industry. The presentation will be held at the second annual Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), January 27-29, 2003, at The Century Plaza Hotel & Spa in Los Angeles, Calif. As part of its tradition of recognizing the hospitality industrys most valuable contributors, the ISHC created the Pioneer Award in 1996. ISHC Pioneer Award winners are selected based on three criteria: active involvement in the industry, contribution to the industry and personal/organizational attributes and qualities. Steves accomplishments in the lodging and gaming industries truly exemplify the criteria we look for when choosing a recipient of the ISHC Pioneer Award. And, he continues to show that pioneer spirit with his latest projects. To that end, he is very deserving of this award and we look forward to presenting him with it at the upcoming ALIS Conference, said ISHC Chairman Rick Pastorino. Wynn has been credited with transforming Las Vegas into a worldwide
tourist destination. Wynn has overseen properties such as the Golden
Nugget Hotel & Casino, the Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio and the
