Grand Theme Hotels Appoints Roger Ploum As
General Manager of the Celebration Hotel
Orlando/Celebration, Fla. - (October 2002) - Roger Ploum, has been selected as general manager of the boutique Celebration Hotel located lakeside in Disney's quaint town of Celebration.

"We are pleased to welcome someone of Roger's stature and experience to our team," said Richard C. Kessler, president and CEO.  "With 13 years of hotel management expertise, he brings a wealth of knowledge and tremendous poise to this position."

Prior to joining Grand Theme Hotels, Ploum has worked for several luxury brands across the USA, Europe and Africa. Most recently he functioned as the food & beverage director and operations manager for Disney's flagship, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando. He also served as the director of food & beverage, catering & conventions services for the Chateau Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans and opened Sun International's Palace of the Lost City in South Africa.

Ploum attended the Hotel School The Hague, Institute for Hospitality Management in the Netherlands and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
