October 23, 2002 - Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed David W. Flack managing director of the company's Little Dix Bay resort in the British Virgin Islands, it was announced today by Raymond Jacobi, chief operating officer, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry with extensive Caribbean experience, Flack, 42, was previously general manager/owner's representative of Cerulean Private Villa Resort on Anguilla, British West Indies. The private estate, run like a five-star resort, caters to sports and entertainment celebrities and wealthy families. Prior to that, he served in top management positions at several luxury resorts and hotels including CuisinArt Resort & Spa in Anguilla, Turtle Island Resort in Fiji, and The Biltmore in Los Angeles. His appointment becomes effective November 1, 2002. Little Dix Bay is a 98-room resort enclave situated around a secluded, crescent shaped beach on the island of Virgin Gorda. The resort is a sanctuary for soft adventurists and water sports enthusiasts seeking aquatic activities such as diving, snorkeling and sailing. Its tranquil setting and lack of commercialism serve to connect guests to their surroundings. In December, the resort will launch The Spa at Little Dix Bay, the resort's first full-service spa with nine treatment cottages nestled against a dramatic cliffside, with stunning, 25-mile oceans views. In addition, the property will debut two new beachfront, ultra-luxury private two-and three-bedroom villas with private plunge pools. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, manages properties on five continents worldwide including The Carlyle in New York City, The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Badrutt's Palace in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico. |
