 Baymont Honors Top System Performers
MILWAUKEE, WISC.� (October 11, 2002) The best of the best will be honored, as owners and operators of Baymont Inns & Suites nationwide gather in Milwaukee next week for the chain's annual conference.

Baymont franchisees will gain insight on initiatives to further improve performance at Baymont's properties. The highlight of the conference will be an awards' ceremony honoring those properties that excel in quality.

"The focus Baymont Inns & Suites places on quality is not only for our guests, but also for our franchisees and their associates," said Jim Abrahamson, president and COO of Baymont Inns & Suites. The top award�The Chairman's Award�will be presented to those inns that have been exceptional in four distinct categories: Guest Service; Quality Level; Baymont Standards; and Market Share.

Chairman's Award winners are Baymont Inns & Suites in El Paso (East), TX; Litchfield, IL; Springfield, MO; and Waupaca, WI.

The second level of award�The President's Award�mirrors the same criteria of the Chairman�s Award. President's Award winners are Baymont Inns & Suites in Dale, IN; Evansville (West), IN; Goodlettsville, TN; Melbourne, FL; Plattsburgh, NY; and Salt Lake City, Utah.

The White Glove Award will be presented to Inns that achieve a score of 95% or higher in the cleanliness sections of the Brand Assurance Audit and pass all sections of the Brand Audit. Dale, IN; De Kalb, IL; Des Moines, Iowa; El Paso (East), Texas; Evansville (West) IN; Fort Smith, AR, Grand Rapids-Walker, MI; Grafton, WI; Joplin, MO; Lewisville, Texas; Litchfield, IL; Phoenix, AZ; Sheboygan, WI; Springfield, MO; Sullivan, MO; Utica, MI; and Waupaca, WI.

Baymont Inns & Suites also honors properties with Ovations Awards that note special contributions to the system in five categories. Winners were: Community Involvement: East Peoria, IL; Marketing: Ames, Iowa; Exterior Landscaping: Washington, IN; Exterior Renovation: Cleveland-Mayfield Heights, Ohio; and Sales: La Crosse, WI.
