New Executive Team at Virginia Crossings Resort

Paul Jensen has joined the executive team at Virginia Crossings as controller.  Mr. Jensen has 15 years of accounting experience, specializing within the hospitality industry.  He began his career as night auditor and was subsequently promoted to accounting manager and controller. He has held the title of controller for the past six years, most recently for the Doubletree in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Reine L. Dussinger has been appointed director of conference services for the resort.  Ms. Reine�s career in hospitality spans more than 20 years, many of which were in the conference center industry.  Ms. Dussinger previously held the positions of guest services manager and director of conference planning at the Aberdeen Woods Conference Center, located in Peachtree City, Georgia.  Prior to that, she invested a decade as conference planning manager for Evergreen Conference Center of Evergreen, Colorado.

Steve Ghiselin has been appointed director of food & beverage for Virginia Crossings.   Mr. Ghiselin has been in the food & beverage area of the hospitality industry for eighteen years, employed in a wide variety of operations, from convention hotels to private member-owned resort clubs.  Upon graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 1991, Steve Ghiselin worked at the Minneapolis Hilton & Towers, the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, and, most recently, with Benchmark Hospitality as the food & beverage director at Bald Head Island, the southern-most barrier island of North Carolina

Marjorie Sferra has been appointed director of human resources.   Ms. Sferra has been employed in human resources for fifteen years, in the manufacturing, public administration and high technology industries.  In 1998, she earned her designation as Certified Professional Human Resources Manager.  Ms. Sferra graduated from Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina, obtaining a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources.

Patrick Bulson has been named director of property operations.  Mr. Bulson has been an engineering professional within the hospitality industry for 20 years.  He was previously chief engineer at the Hilton Richmond Airport Hotel and the Richmond Hyatt Hotel, both located in metropolitan Richmond, Virginia.  He was also chief engineer at the Albany Ramada Inn, located in Albany, New York.  Mr. Bulson holds a Master Mechanical License from the State of Virginia and is certified by the EPA and the AHMA as a Qualified Engineering Operations Executive.  He came to Virginia Crossings Resort as part of the Project Opening Team and was instrumental in the successful launch of the property.

Jim Browder has been appointed director of sales and marketing.  Mr. Browder has 21 years of experience in hospitality.  He has worked for several major hotel brands, such as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sheraton Hotels, the Grosvenor Resort at Walt Disney World, and most recently, the Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, South Carolina.  Jim Browder is a native Virginian.  He is a graduate of Radford University located in Radford, Virginia.
