 Carlos Molinet Named General Manager of the
Wyndham Grand Bay - Coconut Grove
Thomas Carney Appointed Director of Sales

DALLAS (Aug. 5, 2002) - Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carlos Molinet to general manager of the Wyndham Grand Bay - Coconut Grove, Florida's landmark Four-Star, Four-Diamond luxury property. 

Molinet's hospitality experience spans more than 20 years including his recent post as general manager of the prestigious 200-suite Wyndham Bel Age, located in the hills of West Hollywood, Calif. Molinet's previous positions with Wyndham include general manager of the Wyndham Old San Juan Hotel & Casino in Old San Juan, P.R.; the former Wyndham Palmas del Mar Resort & Villas in Humacao, P.R.; and the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Mt. Olive, N.J. He began his career with Wyndham in 1995 as assistant food and beverage director for the Wyndham Rose Hall Resort & Country Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica. 

"Carlos' understanding and experience serving the sophisticated traveler along with his Cuban heritage give him a unique perspective of Wyndham Grand Bay's savvy customer, including the very important Latin American market. His appointment will serve to elevate this prestigious property even further," remarked Jeff Wagoner, Wyndham's senior vice president of hotel operations. 

Additionally, Wyndham has appointed Thomas Carney as the new director of sales for Wyndham Grand Bay - Coconut Grove. Carney's extensive hospitality career includes key high-level positions with the SeaWay Group, Marriott, Sheraton and Hilton. Most recently Carney served as director of convention sales for the Fort Worth Convention & Visitor Bureau. 

"Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Coconut Grove. His 10-year commitment and involvement to the Florida marketplace will undoubtedly allow us to further enhance our sales and catering team," said Molinet.

Since its opening in 1983, the Wyndham Grand Bay became a landmark of Coconut Grove, quickly setting the standard for luxury hotels in the area and recognized for its pyramid-like shape.
