DALLAS, TX (May 16, 2002) � Villager Franchise Systems Inc. and Knights Franchise Systems Inc. today recognized and honored the chain�s best personnel and properties at its national conference held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

The awards recognized exceptional Villager Lodge®, Villager PremierSM and Hearthside by Villager properties and personnel in eight categories for consistently exceeding expectations during 2001, and for serving as examples for the rest of the chain.  Brand executives, including Anthony Falor, president & chief executive officer of Villager, presented award

  • Patriot of the Year � Gerald Deters, Villager Premier Drawbridge Inn, Ft. Mitchell, KY
  • Quality Assurance Property of the Year � Villager Lodge Thompson, IL
  • Property of the Year � Hearthside by Villager Sugarland, TX
  • Franchise of the Year � The owners and operators, respectively, of the Villager Premier Studio Inn Group:  Arden Development, led by Jim Bell and Jack Hamilton; and Southeastern Hotel Management (SEHM), led by Matt Young, CHA

Knights Franchise Systems Inc. 
The awards recognize exceptional Knights Inn brand properties and personnel in nine categories for consistently exceeding expectations during 2001, and for serving as examples for the rest of the chain.  Brand executives, including Anthony Falor, the Knights Inn president and chief executive officer, presented award winners with commemorative plaques onstage.  The following Knights Inn brand personnel and properties were recognized:
