business leaders today were granted the Distinguished Alumni award by prestigious
The School of Hospitality Business, Michigan State University (MSU), at
a lavish Chicago ceremony, The School Director and Professor Ronald Cichy

At the celebration Cichy said, �Today we are delighted to honor these alumni during our alma mater�s 75th Anniversary Year. They studied and learned under remarkable faculty, and then went out and not only succeeded, but furthered MSU�s good name and reputation. We thank them for giving back to their alma mater with his time, talents and treasures.� Hundreds of MSU Alumni traveled from around the world to attend the ceremony recognizing leaders in the hospitality industry. Other award recipients include James B. Singerling, Chief Executive Officer of the Club Managers Association of America, who was awarded The School�s Industry Leader of the Year award, recognizing his exemplary leadership in the hospitality industry. In addition, Donald I. Smith, noted restaurateur, professor and author, was named Honorary Alumnus of the Year, recognizing his leadership and contributions to further the interests of The School.
