New York Hotelier Henry Kallan Taps Unirez
to Provide Reservation Services for His
Four Outstanding Boutique Hotels

,

DALLAS, TX / New York, NY (June 14, 2002) Henry Kallan, New Yorks most fashionable boutique hotel operator, has selected Unirez to provide reservation services for his four luxury properties. Under the agreement, Unirez will provide seamless connectivity to all Global Distribution Systems as well as booking capability through all major alternate distribution channels including Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz and Travelweb.

Each of my hotels is committed to excellence. After investigating alternatives to our previous reservations provider, I clearly saw the difference in Unirez. I looked for a supplier that shared my vision of service, and found that Unirez was committed to providing the level of service that I require, said Kallan. I then had my general managers look into the technology that Unirez has developed, and they unanimously agreed that Unirez was far and above the competition in that area also.

To be working with Henrys hotels is both an honor and a privilege, said Hendrickson. His hotels enjoy one of the, if not the highest rate of return guests in New York City. The sophisticated rate and inventory management needs of his hotels will be easily adapted to our system. In addition, their ability to enter new rates and have them immediately available through the various distribution channels will greatly benefit their competitive position in securing new corporate accounts.

One of the most impressive features of the Unirez system is the on-line, real-time reporting capabilities, said John Flannigan, General Manager of the Hotel Giraffe. Unirez will allow us to get up-to-the-minute production and market information about each individual hotel as well as the collection as a whole.

Henry Kallan owns and operates the legendary Hotel Elysee, home to the famous Monkey Bar; the Moroccan -themed Casablanca Hotel located in Times Square; the Library Hotel located across from the New York Public Library and featuring uniquely themed floors based on the Dewey-decimal system;  and the ultra-chic Hotel Giraffe located on fashionable Park Avenue South.

Founded in 1999, Unirez is the fastest growing hotel reservations services company in the world with nearly 2800 client hotels representing in excess of 460,000 rooms. In its annual ranking of world-wide reservation services companies in 2001, Hotels Magazine noted that Unirez jumped from 10th place position in 2000 to 3rd place in 2001 following a year of 300% growth.

Based in Dallas, Unirez owns and operates its own reservations system utilizing the ASP model, which allows all applications to run via the Internet. The Unirez system provides a revolutionary benefit to its users by allowing each hotel to manage all of its information by automatically uploading rates, availability and descriptive information on-line and in real time to the various electronic distribution channels. In addition, each distribution channel including GDS, Internet and Voice can be managed independently. The Unirez system incorporates advanced features including group and corporate direct booking capability, sophisticated management reporting, seamless connectivity to all global distribution systems, bookings through most of the largest hospitality Internet sites, 24-hour private label voice services, and on-line capabilities for individually branded web sites.
