Six Spirit of Hospitality Award Winners Named by
Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging Association

Philadelphia, PA (April 2, 2002) - Six hospitality industry awards were presented during the Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging Association�s (PTLA) Spirit of Hospitality Awards Dinner. Kirby Payne, chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association officiated the awards presentation, and Governor Mark Schweiker presented the awards. The awards dinner was the finale of the PTLA Annual Conference held at The Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

Awards were presented to the following recipients:

Christina Banchi, Widener University, Student of the Year;
Philadelphia Marriott, Community Service Award;
Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, Guest Relations Award;
Edward Mayotte, Skytop Lodge, General Manager of the Year;
Dwayne Jones, Hilton Harrisburg, Department Manager of the Year;
Keith DeBiase, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa, Lodging Employee of the Year

Making the decisions in choosing this year�s recipients were members of the PTLA�s Human Resources Committee, led by William Brett, chairman and vice president of Crown American Hotels.

The PTLA exists to advocate, support, promote and enhance the tourism and lodging industry within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We seek to be inclusive and provide lobbying, education and professional development opportunities, information and other resources as well as value-adding services to our members to ensure their�and the industry�s�ongoing success and growth.
