Ramada Inn Denver Airport Receiving Million-dollar
Facelift, Will be Reflagged the GuestHouse
International Hotel Denver/Stapleton
Irvine, Calif., April 17, 2002 - A new name and major renovation that includes dramatic improvements to the exterior facade, lobby and guestrooms highlight changes under way at the Ramada Inn Denver Airport, which will become the GuestHouse International Hotel Denver/Stapleton when the million-dollar facelift is completed in June. The hotel will remain open during construction.

"In support of the redevelopment efforts that are transforming Stapleton into one of the Denver area's greatest assets, we are reinvesting in our property by converting it into a GuestHouse International Hotel," said Randy Hulce, president and COO of VenQuest Hotel Group. The Irvine, California-based company owns and operates the hotel, which is located at 3737 Quebec Street.

"The addition of great retail, resort and residential amenities will assure Stapleton's place as an attractive destination for Denver-bound visitors for years to come," said Hulce. "We believe that now is the time to bring a GuestHouse International Hotel - a brand that appeals to value-minded travelers seeking high-quality accommodations and guest services at a reasonable price - to the community."

The exterior renovation includes new paint, a remodeled front portico featuring a gable topped by a metal roof, improved lighting, and a re-paved driveway and parking area. Inside, the re-designed two-story lobby features new tile, carpeting, wall coverings, paint and furniture. Guestroom upgrades include new furniture, lighting and carpeting. New carpeting has also been added to hotel corridors.

The hotel has 146 guestrooms, including 90 rooms with king-sized beds, plus spacious meeting rooms that accommodate up to 50 participants, valet service, gift shop, guest laundry room, outdoor heated swimming pool and exercise facility, as well as La Mariposa restaurant and the Cantina Mariposa lounge located conveniently on-site. All guestrooms feature luxurious king-sized beds or two cozy full-sized beds, plus coffee makers, voice mail, data port phones, and remote cable televisions with CNN, ESPN, TNT, ShowTime and the latest PPV movie releases.

The re-flagging of the hotel was arranged through an agreement between VenQuest and GuestHouse International Franchise Systems. VenQuest also owns and operates the GuestHouse International Hotel in Long Beach, Calif., the first GuestHouse International property on the West Coast and the largest hotel in the chain.

Commenting on the re-flagging, GuestHouse International President Kevin Lewis said, "We are pleased to welcome a second VenQuest property to our family of hotels, and the second GuestHouse International property in Colorado." In March 2002, the Atlanta, Georgia-based company opened the 60-room GuestHouse International Inn in Keystone, Colorado.

"Our properties are as unique in feel as they are alike in service and value," said Lewis. "We encourage each property to keep its own identity so that our guests can experience the local flavor in each GuestHouse International market." Building upon a growing reputation for delivering quality accommodations and service at a moderate price, the brand now has over 110 hotels open or under development in more than 30 states.

VenQuest Hotel Group is a premiere hotel management company with more than three decades of hotel management experience coupled with a highly trained team of hospitality professionals that provides comprehensive services for owners of hotels throughout the Western United States.
