The $8 million Holiday Inn Express Monterrey - La Fe Hotel
Opens in Monterrey, Mexico

ATLANTA - March 8, 2002 - - Holiday Inn Express announced today that the new 101-room Holiday Inn Express Monterrey La Fe hotel in Monterrey, Mexico, will officially open Monday, March 11, 2002, representing another addition to the mid-scale brand�s portfolio of limited-service hotels. 

The Holiday Inn Express brand celebrated the grand opening of its sixteenth development in Mexico with a ceremony on February 13 that included President Fox, as well as the governor of Nuevo Leon, the mayor of Guadalupe, the director of tourism and the secretary of industrial development. The new Holiday Inn Express hotel is the fourth in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Holiday Inn Express Monterrey La Fe is owned by Javier Maldonado, operated under a license agreement with Six Continents Hotels, Inc., and managed by Arturo Carcaño. 

�Development in this growing area and expanding our Holiday Inn Express consumer base in Mexico is important in establishing a strong presence in a highly diversified prime industrial location, where a large number of internationally competitive companies, as well as many of Mexico�s most important industrial conglomerates, are based,� said Jenifer Zeigler, vice president of marketing for the Holiday Inn Express brand. 
 

The new Holiday Inn Express Monterrey La Fe is perfect for the business traveler seeking value-conscious accommodations in Mexico. It is located close to the airport, in the heart of the industrial area and provides easy access to the downtown district of the city.  Other local attractions are the Mexican History Museum, the contemporary museum of art, CINTERMEX Expo Center and the Parque Fundidora car-racing track.
