Kelvin Bloom Named President of
ASTON Hotels & Resorts

HONOLULU (March 22, 2002) � ASTON Hotels & Resorts, a ResortQuest International company, has appointed Kelvin Bloom president of the organization, effective March 25, 2002. The promotion highlights Bloom�s strong record of business growth and property expansion for ASTON during the past several years. Since 1998, ASTON Hotels & Resorts has expanded by more than a dozen hotel and condominium properties.
 
�Kelvin�s determination and tenacity along with his business acumen have been strong assets for ASTON and ResortQuest since he joined the company in 1998," said David Levine, Chairman, President and CEO of ResortQuest International, Inc, parent company of ASTON Hotels & Resorts. �We look forward to continued expansion and growth in Hawaii with his insights and leadership.�

Having served most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer for ASTON, Bloom�s primary responsibilities as president will include overseeing all departments and aspects of the company, including business development

and owner relations.  He also will continue to serve as regional vice president for ResortQuest International, Inc., which, in addition to ASTON�s 34 Hawaii properties, includes the oversight of ResortQuest Maui Condominium & Home.

Born in California, raised in Japan, Okinawa, Iran and other countries, Bloom understands the diversity of ASTON�s customers, owners and employees. He has lived in Hawaii for more than 20 years and has 25 years of hotel and condominium resort management experience from a wide-range of properties. His experience encompasses managing mid-scale to affluent mountain ski properties and Hawaii beachfront resorts. He has produced a track record of exceptional operations, record profitability and exemplary owner relations. 

Prior to joining ASTON in 1998 as executive vice president, Bloom served as Castle Resorts & Hotels� founding president and COO of The Castle Group. He conceived, created and developed Castle Resorts & Hotels and had a significant role in the development and growth of The Castle Group.

Bloom received the bulk of his training in the hotel and condominium resort industry during his successful 15-year tenure with Village Resorts, including six years spent as vice president of the Hawaii region. Bloom was instrumental in the development and growth of Village Resorts� business and presence in and outside of Hawaii. Among his community interests, Bloom is a board member of Aloha United Way, Waikiki Improvement Association, the Hawaii Hotel Association and several condominium associations. His personal interests include being an avid University of Hawaii sports fan.

Based in Honolulu, ASTON® Hawaii operates 34 condominium resorts and hotels on the four major Hawaiian islands.
