Anthony Taeubel Appointed as New Chief Operating Officer |
CHOCTAW, Miss. - March 8, 2002 - Anthony Taeubel Appointed as New Chief
Operating Officer and James E. Rolfe Appointed as Executive Director of
Financial Operations.
In a move to further deepen its management team as it continues expanding its gaming and tourism properties, the Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise (CRDE) today announced the appointments of Anthony Taeubel as the new chief operating officer of CRDE�s gaming operations and James E. Rolfe as the executive director of financial operations for CRDE. �We are fortunate to have two talented and highly experienced gaming executives such as Tony Taeubel and James Rolfe join our management team, especially at a time where we are undergoing dramatic growth and changes with the new addition of the Golden Moon and expansion of our gaming and tourism business,� said Jay Dorris, president of the CRDE. �With Tony�s assumption of the day-to-day gaming operations and James� work with our increasingly diverse financial operations, we have built a tremendous management team for the future.� As CRDE�s new chief operating officer for gaming operations, Taeubel will have broad management responsibilities for the Enterprise�s gaming operations, including Silver Star Hotel & Casino and the soon to be opened Golden Moon Hotel & Casino located at Pearl River Resort. He will report to Dorris. �I am delighted to join the Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise and tackle the challenge of managing the enormous growth and potential inherent in these world-class facilities,� Taeubel said. �The Tribe has done a spectacular job in building a highly successful resort destination that has quickly evolved into a gaming destination of choice in the Southeastern part of the country. I look forward to building upon that success.� Taeubel brings over 18 years of gaming experience to Pearl River Resort and was most recently the senior vice president and general manager for the Ameristar Riverboat Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he oversaw operations for the entire property, including five restaurants, a 160-room AAA Four-Diamond rated hotel, large gaming floor and a $35 million renovation and construction project. He received his bachelors of arts degree in psychology and criminal
justice from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1986, later earning his
masters in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
in 1992. Taeubel is married with two children.
