LOS CABOS, Baja California, Mexico, Feb. 1, 2002 - Edward T. Steiner,
managing director of Rosewood's acclaimed Las Ventanas al Paraiso, has
been named Hotelier of the Year by the Los Cabos Hotel Association.
The Association has honored Steiner with the prestigious annual award
for his "invaluable participation, cooperation and support to strengthen
our destination."
Steiner has managed Las Ventanas since the resort opened in 1997, guiding
it to an elite status as one of the world's finest and most heralded resorts.
Las Ventanas, for the first time, brought the highest international standards
of luxury, service and pampering to Los Cabos. The unparalleled resort
experience created by Steiner attracted more sophisticated and affluent
travelers to Los Cabos, and played a lead role in elevating the overall
standards and facilities of the destination. Today, Los Cabos is widely
recognized as Mexico's most upscale destination.
Over the last five years, Las Ventanas has earned numerous awards and
distinctions, including the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award and "The
Best Resort in the Americas" on Conde Nast Traveler magazine's annual
Gold List.
